At some point this week, someone at work shared with us homemade pancakes. I had a bite and I was kind of craving them, so I did the unthinkable and prepared some the next day.
Now this is the good part, homemade pancakes are always good, especially when filled with Nutella or Dubai style filling (Actually, Dubai style is pistachio cream and chocolate which we had even prior to this Dubai chocolate nonsense taking over the world).
I also watched the new Margot Robbie movie, Wuthering Heights. The movie was rough and I got to admit it, saw myself a bit in Jacob Elordi’s character.
The movie being inspired by a book written in the 1800’s showed a different kind of world that we are used to today, where people had no masks to hide their ruthlessness.
I am sorry about the ending, as I was hoping that both would move on with their lives but I guess that in movies and literature you can rarely have a normal ending, it has to be either unrealistically sad or unrealistically happy.
But it got a bitter taste, as people put so much effort into hiding and fighting their feelings instead of embracing them. If there is pain with the person and without, in most cases is better to be “with”. The pain is different, and when two play in the same team, even the losses feel less bitter than the “solo” victories. Oh, sorry, I lost myself for a bit there, I almost started sounding like there is anything human inside my brain.
Anyway, I liked the movie, it wasn’t a waste of time, unlike Regina George’s “send help”. I know her name is not actually Regina, but it still sounds better than “Rachel”
Fitting song for today’s movie. I never knew that it was part of the Last of us part 2 soundtrack, as I never finished it. Maybe I should get back to it after I’m done with High on Life 2.
